Photography aficionados who are always on pins and needles about the incapability of their camera to ride out after falling into the water have just got a reason to smile. Sanyo has just slid the wraps off an all-new Full HD dual camera that can be used underwater, the DMX-CA100.

Emerging as an ideal choice for all kinds of outdoor activities, the new waterproof solution offers a combination of style, reliability and top-notch performance. The Dual Camera Xacti now allows users to easily capture both photos and videos in daily life with a sense of satisfaction. Designed to be convenient, the stylish DMX-CA100 offers a dual camera model that is both handy and reliable for active outdoor living, daily activities, and leisure pursuits.

Claimed to be the world’s first waterproof Full HD Dual Camera, the 14 megapixel device can be used to a depth of 3 meters underwater for up to 60 minutes. Users can now capture their precious moments in all kinds of year-round outdoor conditions. Its video format ‘MPEG-4 AVC/H.264’ enables videos to be handled on a computer or the Internet using a single file, just like a still photo.

The camera comes equipped with High-Speed Sequential Shooting feature that allows users to capture up to 22 photos at 7 frames per second (in 2M Continuous mode), based on its high-speed CMOS sensor and the new high-speed video processing engine. Apart from this, the format fully supported by the latest Windows 7 operating system makes it even more convenient to use on a PC.

Integrated with Sanyo’s proprietary ‘Double Range Zoom’ feature for zoom operation, the DMX-CA100 renders an extensive range of video capture from wide angle to telephoto zoom for distant scenery, with a magnification of up to 12x (40mm to 480mm, 35-mm film basis). For recording high-quality video, the offering sports Digital Image Stabilizer and Face Chaser Function.

Besides, the device includes Mini HDMI Terminal for even more beautiful Full HD resolution and Eye-Fi card compatibility for automatic uploading of images to a computer. With its separate photo and video capture buttons, users can also snap up their images by using the thumb to press the desired button, without the need to change modes.

Available in black, yellow and pink, the new Sanyo DMX-CA100 dual camera will be hitting the shelves at the end of June 2010. The pricing details are yet to be announced.
