Now, the company has shed some light on a highly portable high-definition camcorder which ensures to render a phenomenal shooting experience, the HDC-SDX1. This impressive device features a 35.8mm wide-angle lens and 23x intelligent zoom.

Designed for those immersed in the world of photography, the portable camcorder adorns a Touch Screen Operation with a 2.7-inch wide LCD monitor. Apart from being a moment-preserver, the device serves as web camera and microphone, enabling users to connect with online video chat programs and make video calls over the Internet. Users can now easily communicate with their family or friends in distant locations simply by connecting the SDX1 to their computer. The device supports Apple iFrame video format for loading and editing image data with utmost ease using a Mac computer. Users can also easily upload videos on YouTube or Facebook.

The device comes equipped with recently developed HYBRID Optical Image Stabilization system, an image stabilization system that provides optical and electrical hand-shake correction. The zooming feature enables users to capture vibrant and clear videos. The SDX1 offers exceptional powerful hand-shake correction with O.I.S. Lock, by pressing the O.I.S. Lock tab on the LCD monitor, the blur detection sensitivity is enhanced and other camera movements are identified and corrected.

The sleek SDX1 is bundled with enticing features like full-HD AVCHD recording capabilities with outstanding 1920 x 1080 image quality and the ability to record in the PC-friendly MP4 format. Its 35.8mm wide-angle setting is essential for recording portraits indoors, landscapes and helps users record voices clearly. Panasonic’s iA mode intuitively selects suitable six shooting modes easily.

Additionally, the normal Auto mode adjusts the focus and exposure for a subject at the center of the screen. With AF/AE Tracking, users can simply lock on to a subject by touching the LCD screen. The Intelligent Scene Selector identifies the situation and swaps the scene mode accordingly. The Face Detection feature is capable of capturing faces even in dim or backlit scenes. In addition, the Intelligent contrast control avoids vivid images and blocks shadows to keep images natural and clear with appropriate contrast.

The Panasonic HDC-SDX1 Panasonic HDC-SDX1 will be available in September 2010 for a price of $499.95 (approx Rs. 23,369).
