Sony shows off alpha concept cameras and imaging products at PMA

Sony was noticeable among the manufacturers who showcased a plethora of gadgets at the PMA 2010. The company exhibited a whole array of devices including an alpha concept DSLR camera, an ultra compact camera with interchangeable lenses, printers and other accessories.

Among the DLSR cameras unveiled a concept model of DSLR camera with interchangeable lenses and mid-range concept camera were spotted. Also revealed were prototypes of a 500mm F4 G Super Telephoto Lens and a Distagon T 24mm F2 ZA SSM, new Carl Zeiss wide angle lens for shooting sweeping landscapes. Previously launched Sony DSLR-A230, A330, A380, A500, A550, A850 and A900 were also up for show at the PMA.

The new models of Cyber-shot digital cameras that were showcased comprised of the 10.2MP TX5 and 14.1MP H55. The fresh new HD Handycam models will integrate the Exmor R CMOS sensor, Quick AF, Highlight Playback, Face Priority and Smile Shutter technologies apart from other advanced features. The HDR-XR550V and HDR-CX150 Flash Memory Handycam were included in this display.

Sony’s show of photofinishing and digital imaging accessories consisted of the portable UP-DR80 dye-sub printer and PictureStation retail instant photo kiosk solution among others. Digital Imaging accessories encompassed an STP-FSA floating strap for the waterproof TX5 camera, DVDirect recorder, a photo printer/frame, Party-shot automatic photographer and other peripherals for Cyber-shot cameras as well as Handycam camcorders.
