Kodak unveils Zi8 HD pocket camcorder

Kodak has announced a new addition to its lineup of digital video cameras. This new addition is termed Zi8 pocket camcorder. It provides 5 megapixel camera and boasts of a resolution of 1080p.

This camera flaunt sleek, ultra compact design and stunning looks. It also includes a built-in electronic image stabilizer. The Zi8 camcorder also offers users the option to upload their images to Facebook and YouTube. The images can be quickly and easily uploaded to these social networking sites.

The camera boasts of a vivid 2.5-inch full color LCD to view the clicked images. The swing-out USB arm enables faster uploading and sharing of images. It also assists in charging the camera. The device is compatible with both PC and Mac operating system. The memory can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD/SDHC cards.

The other features of the device include smart face tracking technology and External microphone jack. The Kodak Pocket Video remote control allows users to start recording or playback a particular video. The accessories from Kodak, available for the Zi8 include SDHC memory cards, KLIC-7004 lithium ion batteries, flexi-tripod and adventure mounts for helmets, handlebars and more. The company also offers cases, camera bags and neck straps to go along with the camera.

The Kodak Zi8 HD pocket camcorder will be made available in aqua, raspberry and black color options starting this September. The camera is expected to be priced at $179.95 (approx. Rs. 8,715).
