Sony DSC-TX1 and DSC-WX1 Cyber-shot cameras unveiled in India

Sony brings its latest creations in the form of the DSC-TX1 and DSC-WX1 Cyber-shot cameras to the Indian soil. These new addition to the Cyber-shot range include the Exmor R back illuminated CMOS sensor technology that enhances their sensitivity. The cameras also promise to provide crisp and clear images even in low-light surroundings.
The built-in hand-held twilight and anti-motion blur multi-shot modes use the speed of the Exmor R CMOS sensor to capture six separate images in less than a second. While, the Sony’s BIONZ processor combines these images into a single image with extraordinary detail. These small and compact devices also include the Sweep Panorama. The Sweep Panorama uses the Exmor R CMOS sensor and the BIONZ processor to deliver stunning panoramic photos. Apart from this, the cameras also include a burst shooting mode that records 10 frames per second.
Measuring 16.5mm, the 10.2 megapixel TX1 flaunts a sophisticated look. The distinguished curves of the TX-1 further enhance the appeal of this camera. The 3-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus touch panel of this camera allows users to scroll through the images with just the flick of a finger. The panel also provides direct access to various menu options. The other notable features of the TX-1 include Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 4x telescopic zoom, and Sony’s Optical SteadyShot image stabilization technology.
The 10.2 megapixel WX-1 features a 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus display and measures just three quarters of an inch. This camera features Sony’s G lens along with the unique wide angle 24-120mm 5x optical zoom. The f/2.4 maximum aperture of the lens provides approximately twice the light gathering capability as compared to conventional lenses.
The other common features of these cameras include Intelligent Auto (iAuto) mode, Face Detection technology, intelligent Scene along with nine Scene Selection modes. The latest addition to the Scene Selection modes is the Pet mode that reduces the red-eye and blurs that are common while shooting pets in motion. Additionally, the cameras incorporate Smile Shutter technology and the capability to record HD videos in 720p format. The cameras are capable of recording and storing up to 29 min videos in 720p, MPEG4 format.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 and the DSC-WX1 are now available for purchase via all Sony retail stores and retail owners throughout India. The TX-1 is currently available in gray color for a price of Rs. 20,990 while the WX-1 is available in black color for a price of Rs. 19,990.
