Fujifilm launches FinePix Z37 digital camera

Fujifilm announces its latest addition to the popular Z-series digital cameras targeted at the tech-savvy and trendy consumers. The company introduces the FinePix Z37 camera that offers all the features required to take great pictures and share them easily. With a new cutting edge design, this striking device is even slimmer and bolder than the previous Z-series models.
The digital camera comprises of a10-megapixel CCD sensor, a sharp 3x optical zoom lens, a 2.7″ LCD screen and a thin 19.1 mm metal front body. With the Micro thumbnail 100 thumbnail images are displayed on its display screen. It matches today’s trends and styles and comes with a choice of three colors namely blue, green or violet. The camera comprises of a single media slot that accepts SD/SD-HC media cards and Li-ion long-life rechargeable batteries.

Users can automatically resize images and movies through the Blog Mode which is a social networker’s staple. The Scene Recognition Auto enables the camera to cleverly identify the correct scene setting without having to pre-select the mode on the camera. In low light conditions the camera can capture excellent shots with the high ISO of up to 1600.
The Face Detection with Automatic Red-Eye Removal spots up to 10 faces in a frame and sets the correct focus and exposure. Saving time on post-editing, it automatically checks for red eye and corrects it after a shot is captured. The digital camera automatically chooses the exact light sensitivity and optimal shutter speed to produce clear, blur-free images with the Picture Stabilization Mode. The One Touch Movie shutter captures movies easily at VGA quality 30 frames per second with sound.
The FinePix Z37 will be available by August, 2009 and is priced at $149.95.
