Photography aficionados may be seen bouncing high as something truly bracing steps in. Intensifying the ardor, Casio has recently revealed the tough EXILIM G EX-G1, a digital camera that proffers endurance engineering as its cornerstone. Brandishing its smart design featuring functional beauty, the sturdy camera delivers Casio’s endurance specifications in a 0.78-inch low profile camera.

Designed to withstand ravaging conditions such as shock, dirt, humidity, snow, temperature and water, the scintillating camera features the shock-resistant design elements both inside and out. Flaunting a smart look in a slim line stainless steel frame, the EX-G1 capably captures high resolution 12.1 effective megapixel images at the same time. In addition, it incorporates modes such as interval shooting and multi-image capture using the camera’s endurance qualities.

Besides, the eye-catching device comes equipped with a large 2.5-inch monitor with 230,400 dots of high resolution and a non-extending 3X zoom lens ranging from 38mm to 114mm. In fact, it comes with a casing that flies in the face of gravity. The shape of the camera is designed and engineered for versatility. Its pressure sealed case safeguards the battery alongside micro SD card while impact zones protect the digital camera’s monitor, buttons and dials.

“Whether your lifestyle is that of a free spirit, you seek out exhilarating moments or perhaps you bring expertise to a rough job, the EXILIM EX-G1 offers a level of endurance that will withstand the demands of your unique lifestyle,” commented Toshiyuki Iguchi, Senior General Manager of Casio’s Digital Imaging Division.

The EX-G1 encompasses the Intelligent AF function that automatically spots the photo subject and adjudges the focus and exposure area accordingly. On the other hand, the Dynamic Photo function creates composite moving images utilizing the camera’s high-speed image processing technology. Interestingly, the Dynamic Photo video can be mutated into a motion JPEG movie file with great ease.

Well, the EX-G1 digital camera is priced at $299.99 (approx Rs. 13,963) and is anticipated to hit shelves in December 2009.
