Samsung CL65 Camera

Capturing images have not been better than this, the latest CL65 digital camera that Samsung has recently launched packages built-in geo-tagging, Bluetooth 2.0, DLNA compatibility, and Wi-Fi connectivity features.Users can also instantly share photos while on the move.

The CL65 is built with a 3.5-inch wide touch-screen LCD. The digital camera offers 1,152K resolution which is four times more than the conventional cameras. The device features Samsung’s Smart Gesture User Interface. Users can now access vital features like Smart Auto, movie, and program mode effortlessly. The digital camera is equipped with 12.2 megapixel CCD and a premium 35mm Schneider Kreuznach lens.

“The CL65 is all about spreading the joy everywhere from anywhere. Never before has a manufacturer provided such a range of technologies in a compact digital camera, giving consumers unprecedented flexibility when it comes to how, when, and where they share their digital images. Geo-tagging keeps track of where the photographer has been, allowing them to quickly and easily share content with their network, while Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi capabilities allow for the simplest of uploads without needing a computer. This new powerhouse point-and-shoot camera will raise the bar for innovation and set a new standard by which all other manufacturers will be measured,” mentioned Sang Jin Park, CEO, Samsung Digital Imaging Co. Ltd.

The camera produces crystal clear images with balanced resolution from the center of images to the edges, owing to 5x optical zoom. The device is capable of recording 720p HD video at 30 frames-per-second in H.264 format, providing double the recording capacity as that of MPEG4 format and four times more than MJPEG format. With HDMI connectivity feature users can enjoy HD videos on any HDTV or HD Monitor.

The camera’s touch-screen user interface employs Samsung’s innovative One Touch Auto Focus system which permits users to pinpoint the exact area to lock focus just by touching the location on the LCD screen. Users can then trigger the camera and take the image by holding the location with their fingertip. With embedded PC software package known as the ‘intelli-studio’, users can view, edit and manage their pictures on the camera before uploading them to photo-sharing sites, such as Picasa.

The CL65 comes with Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, permitting users to share and transfer photos wirelessly. Users can transfer their favorite digital images from the camera to compatible devices, such as mobile phones. When using Bluetooth 2.0, the CL65 will automatically resize the digital image to best fit the resolution of the host screen. The digital camera uses GPS technology to automatically geo-tag digital images. It also records the latitude and longitude of the region where each photo is taken. The location data is embedded into each image’s EXIF file.

The Samsung camera is DLNA compliant (Digital Living Network Alliance), facilitating users to wirelessly connect to other DLNA compliant devices, such as HDTVs. The images that are transmitted through Wi-Fi are reduced to a resolution of two mega-pixels. Further, users can send a digital image to any email address stored in the camera’s address book or by using the camera’s touch-screen QWERTY keypad, via Wi-Fi. The CL65′s Wi-Fi connection also allows users to upload their images to popular websites such as Facebook, Picasa and YouTube. The device always captures beautiful images. The Beauty Shot feature eliminates wrinkles, blemishes and moles from the subject’s face.

Users can also organize their photos by location (if geo-tagged), favorite (if tagged as a “favorite” photo), face (someone whose photos are captured many times), timeline (date photos were taken), week, color, and content (photos, videos, voice-note) using the SmartAlbum feature. The CL65 employs Samsung’s advanced Face Recognition technology which automatically stores up to 20 preferred faces to the camera’s internal memory. With the photo style selector and highlight feature, users can select from a wide selection of artistic treatments ranging from classic black and white to more vivid shades, giving users full control over the color tones of their image.

The Samsung CL65 will be made available in the U.S. for $399.99 (approx. Rs. 19,301).
