VIEVU intros PVR-PRO 2 and the PVR-LE 2 Wearable Video Cameras at CES

VIEVU unveiled two new wearable video cameras at CES, namely the PVR-PRO 2 and the PVR-LE 2, for consumers and law enforcement market, respectively.
The features for both the rugged wearable cameras include CMOS technology for better image quality, low light and enhanced image capability, 4 GB storage space, 4 hours of VGA 640 x 480 video recording at 30 fps and support for audio. The tri-clip designed video cameras have the ability to withstand water and are compliant with RoHS and WEEE standards.
Steve Ward, President and Founder, said, “We are excited about these new technologies as well as the overwhelming response for our products that we have received over the past year. We are happy to be an industry leader providing of wearable video solutions.”
The PVR-PRO 2 and PVR-LE 2 have an LED indicator that offer alters on low memory and low battery. It also features an On/Off switch which protects the lens. Both the video cameras are compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista operating system and sport USB connectivity for download.
While the PVR-PRO 2 is targeted at the professional consumers, the specialized PVR-LE 2 is designed for the law enforcement market. The latter incorporates a secure software solution – digital signature – to document the authenticity of the video files and is compatible with Date & Time stamp (GMT).
The VIEVU PVR-PRO 2 retails for $399.95 (approx. Rs. 19,360). The price of the VIEVU PVR-LE 2 is not known.
