Sony Party-Shot, a personal photographer

Sony Party Shot Camera Dock Sony has unveiled the new intelligent Party-Short camera dock. This dock clicks images without human interventions. It conveniently substitutes as a photographer. Users can play the perfect host for their parties while this dainty device captures all the fun in clear and crisp images.

This dock utilizes the camera’s BIONZ image processor along with the Face Detection and the Smile shutter technology. The Sony dock promises to deliver clear and blur-free images with the combined use of these technologies. The device makes it possible to capture those precious moments with natural expressions. The dock is light in weight and hence highly portable.

“With the Party-shot personal photographer, you no longer have to worry about taking photos when you are with your family or friends,” said Shigehiko Nakayama, digital imaging accessories product manager at Sony Electronics. “Party-shot captures candid moments that tell natural life stories and also offers a new style of photography that enriches time with your family and friends.”

The Sony Party-Shot is compatible with the DSC-WX1 and the DSC-TX1 Cyber-shot cameras. It can conveniently be mounted on any tripod and placed virtually anywhere. The dock pans 360 degrees and tilts 24 degrees. When powered by two AA batteries, it allows users to capture photos for up to 11 hours. Alternatively, the dock can also be powered by an AC adapter.

The Sony Party-Shot camera dock is now available for pre-order at SonyStyle and selected retailers. The dock is expected to start shipping next month and will cost around $150 (approx. Rs. 7,156). Well, what we wonder is that will this dock take pictures of what is in front of it or will it cover the entire room on its own accord.
