Nikon D60 DSLR Camera launched
After the introduction of the new CoolPix lineup of digital cameras, Nikon has unveiled its latest DSLR camera, named the D60.
The Nikon D60 features 10.2 megapixel of resolution, Nikon’s 3D Colour Matrix Metering II system and three-point AF system. It also sports a 2.5-inch LCD display, 0.19s start-up time, 3 fps continuous shooting, energy efficiency, razor-sharp 3-area Autofocus and active D-Lighting.
Supporting AF-S and AF-I NIKKOR lenses, the DSLR can click approx. 500 shots in a go. The stop-motion feature enables the consumer to convert a series of consecutive pictures into a short movie.
“The Nikon D60 makes stepping up to digital SLR photography easy for anyone, but is also a wonderful choice for photo enthusiasts looking for remarkable performance in a compact package,” said Edward Fasano, general manager for marketing, SLR System Products at Nikon.
Nikon’s D60 DSLR camera has the ability to offer Image quality adjustment, white balance and exposure compensation.
Expected in March 2008, the Nikon D60 DSLR $549.95 (approx. 22,000) will be available in the US.

The price varies from shop to shop and is in the range of 33,000 /-to 36,000
