Pentax limited edition white K2000 DSLR system announced
Pentax announces the limited edition of its white K2000 DSLR system with a double zoom kit. The new DSLR is a replica of the original K2000 design and makes a transition from point-and-shoot digital camera to digital SLR photography. The body and both the lenses of this entry-level system adorn a brilliant white color with black trim.
Sporting a 10.2 megapixel sensor, the white Pentax K2000 features white smc PENTAX DA L 18-55mm F3.5-5.6/50-200mm F4-5.6 AL lenses. It offers uncomplicated operation for all the novice high-quality digital SLR users.
Its compact and lightweight body enhances portability and maneuverability. You can view images on its large 2.7 inch LCD monitor. With simplified ergonomics and dedicated Help button it is easier to operate the camera with one hand.
The Pentax Shake Reduction mechanism reduces camera shake for sharp, blur-free images even under demanding shooting conditions while the user-friendly Dust Removal system prevents dust from appearing on images.
The K2000 DSLR also offers high-speed continuous shooting up to 3.5 frames per second, high-precision 5-point AF system, Auto sensitivity control up to ISO 3200, enhanced Dynamic Range and Shadow Adjustment mode, digital filters for unique visual expressions and a bright and clear viewfinder.
Its energy efficient power supply records approximately 1,650 images with four AA-size lithium batteries. Additionally, it includes a status screen, Index function, simultaneous recording of RAW and JPEG format images, compatibility with SD and SDHC memory cards as well as with SDM autofocus lenses for quiet and smooth focus operation.
The limited edition white PENTAX K2000 kit will be available in February 2009. The price is yet to be announced.
