Tomy launches Xiao TIP-521 Digital Camera, featuring Built-In ZINK Printer

TOMY in partnership with ZINK Imaging has developed an innovative digital camera, called xiao TIP-521, boasting an integrated ZINK printer. The first ZINK-enabled digital camera works on ZINK Zero Ink printing technology.

The xiao TIP-521 comes pre-loaded with software that allows users to access a galore of entertaining printing options, ranging from templates to borders. It sports a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, in-house paper tray to contain approximately 20 photo papers of 2×3-inch, 4x digital zoom, 2.48-inch LCD screen and support for SD/SDHC memory cards.

Ensuring to fulfill all the photographic desires, the xiao TIP-521 features a thermal line printer with resolution of 313dpi to flawlessly print images within one minute. Weighing 294 grams and measuring 149.5 x 74.5 x 25mm, the camera-cum-printer has the capacity to store digital images via 16 MB onboard memory.

The xiao TIP-521 digital camera with ZINK printer carries a price tag of $320 (approx. Rs. 15,160) and is slated to reach the Japanese market by 28th November. The US launch is expected to be around April or May 2009.
