Pentax K10D DSLR – limited edition Announced

Pentax has unveiled the limited-edition version of the K10D digital SLR to celebrate its victory in Camera Grand Prix 2007 Award in Japan last month.

Pentax K10D Digital SLR A high-performance lens-interchangeable digital SLR camera, Pentax K10D provides high-precision, high-resolution images by 10.2 megapixels and the PENTAX-original SR (Shake Reduction) system.

The Camera has incorporated the latest firmware (ver.1.30), corresponding to SDM system and supersonic motor-driven lens. SDM assures smoother, quicker auto focusing operation using a built in supersonic motor.

The K10D also features a newly developed A/D converter designed to convert a large volume of data more accurately and swiftly and a new high-performance imaging engine designed exclusively for the K10D.

Furthermore, a new Dust Removal System keeps dust off the CCS surface, a Pentax-original exposure system, dust-proof and water-resistance body adds to the features.

The ENTAX K10D Grand Prix Package consists of gold finished PENTAX branding, the K10D logo and mode dial, a new dark brown rubber coating on the body and battery grip. A special designed leather camera strap with the award logo and camera grand Prix lettering in gold includes to the Package of the camera.

Additional, each camera body carries a serial number.

Only 150 of the kits will be available in the UK from a worldwide production run of 5,000. Price is yet to be confirmed.
