Pentax Optio E30 Digital SLR Camera Launched in India

Pentax Optio E30 Digital Life Style Distributions Pvt. Ltd. (IDLDPL) has unveiled the Pentax Optio E30, a DSLR camera in India.

The Optio E30 offers 7.1 mega pixels with 3x optical zoom for high-resolution images. Besides, the camera delivers a focal range covering angles of view equivalent to those of a 36-108mm lens in 35mm format and has a 4X digital zoom for a maximum of 12X magnification.

The Pentax E30 camera is capable of capturing up to 200 photos from one set of alkaline batteries or 760 shots on a set of lithium AA batteries.

Some more features of the Pentax E30 camera are:

  • Supports the new SDHC memory cards in addition to conventional SD memory cards
  • Approximately 11 MB of built-in memory
  • Built-in auto flash with red-eye reduction function
  • Records movie at sizes up to 640 * 480 pixels with image quality rivaling camcorders
  • Frame composite function allows you to add a decorative frame around the image when shooting
  • Compatible with PictBridge, DPOF functions, Exif Print, and PRINT Image Matching III

    • While commenting on the launch of the Pentax Optio E30 in India, Surinder Saini, Product Manager of Pentax (India) said “We are proud to introduce this wonderful piece of Compact Digital Camera that represents the Nouveau Vogue of Pentax as it is equipped with all the features that a camera user would like to possess to go along with its compatibility with widely available AA batteries and Image Link printing system.”

    The Pentax Optio E30 will be available at the price of Rs.13,490 and will be available in almost all large retail stores in India.

      - what is the price now
      - where do I get it in Kolkata, India
      - if I can make use of my old Pentax lenses (AF standard and nonAF zoom lenses I have for ME Super and other old AF cameras) with this digital SLR
