Enhancing the ThinkPad laptop performance and productivity, Lenovo today unveiled four novel PCs for this portfolio. The company launched three laptops namely T410s, T410 and T510 along with a mobile workstation named W510. These new PCs have been fashioned to elevate both the performance and productivity for business users.

The laptops find their roots on the upcoming Intel Core dual-core processors, allowing users to enjoy faster multi-tasking performance. The PCs are also more energy efficient and should proffer greater manageability for IT departments. Never before seen ThinkPad 22 hour battery life on select models, additional multitouch screen options, single wireless broadband solution with the Qualcomm Gobi 2000 module and more. Yes, there seems to be lots in store with these models.

“ThinkPad laptops are built for business with the performance, portability and wireless capabilities users need and the manageability, reliability and durability IT departments require,” remarked Peter Hortensius, senior vice president, ThinkPad Business Unit, Lenovo. “These latest enhancements in processing speed, battery life and wireless technologies help users work faster, longer and smarter.”

With the T410s, users are offered a thin and light design along with full performance for super mobile users. As for the T410 and T510, they seem to be tailored for complete performance that should appeal mainstream business users. Finally, the high performance W510 mobile workstation should suit the requirements of professionals in data and graphics-demanding fields.

IT departments should be able to remotely manage their PC fleet while deploying power settings and Internet connection profiles thanks to the distinct combination of the Intel Core vPro technology and Lenovo’s ThinkVantage Technologies’ manageability features. The W510 and T series laptops further incorporate the Intel Turbo Boost Technology for automatic and intelligent acceleration of performance.

Speaking specifically, the new W510 enhances the standard of mobile workstation performance. Supporting up to 16GB of memory and quad core processors, the workstation includes four memory slots for up to 16GB of high performance 1333 MHz DDR3 memory. Nvidia’s 1GB GPU and the latest Intel Core i7 processors along with being the first ThinkPad to offer USB 3.0 are some other features.

The touch-enabled workstation sports an optional multi-finger touch screen. There’s also the SimpleTap application for easy navigation of the touchscreen. In addition to this, it also packs in an optional color calibrator, to deliver accurate colors on its high gamut full high definition screen. Moving on, the T410s is incorporated with Nvidia switchable graphics having 512MB of VRAM

Certified under Lenovo’s Enhanced Experience program for Windows 7, all the PCs house a powered USB port for charging other devices when the PCs are on or in standby or even off if plugged in. Boasting larger Escape and Delete keys, the T400s laptop should enhance the typing experience. Users are offered a new nine cell slice battery on the T410, T510 and W510 laptops for up to 22 hours of battery life.

Besides, the laptops also allow optional 3G connectivity leveraging EV-DO and HSPA wireless networks with Qualcomm Gobi 2000 technology. With this module, businesses can standardize on a single hardware platform.

Starting January 7, 2010, the ThinkPad T410s, T410, T510 and W510 laptops will be available. The models will hit stands at prices starting from $1,399 for the T410s, $999 for the T410 and T510 and $1,599 for the W510.
