Shuttle X270V Nettop with SUSE Linux OS Launched

Shuttle is back in the news with Penguins operation system to offer environment-friendly, cost-effective and power-efficient mini-PC.

Shuttle has unveiled its latest nettop, known as the X20V, to expand its portfolio of Mini-PCs.

Based on the Shuttle Barebone X27D, the main highlight is the 1.6 GHz Intel dual-core Atom 330 processor that harmonizes with openSUSE Linux operating system (version 11) in a small form factor.

Other features of the machine include Intel 945GC+ICH7 express chipset, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with PCI-E, an optional DVD writer, up to 2GB of DDR2memory, a single 2.5-inch HDD, 6-channel audio, VGA and DVI out.

Additionally, the highly-polished and black-coated small computer also includes a Gigabit-LAN connection, PS/2-connectors, serial interface and six USB ports. Further, it claims to consume less power at just 60 watts and offer a whisper-quiet operation.

Currently, the Shuttle X270V nettop is available in the European markets with a starting price of 299 Euros (approx. Rs. 19,465).
