Maingear unfurls Shift Supercomputer

Maingear Shift Supercomputer Turning users all agog by bringing something truly assisting every other day, Maingear has announced the availability of AMD Radeon HD 5970 graphics cards this time. Besides this, the widely-accepted Shift supercomputer will now be available with dual ATI Radeon HD 5970 in Crossfire X configuration for over 10 teraflops of computing power when enhanced with Maingear Redline technology.

The recently unwrapped Shift, the everyday supercomputer hopes to reshape the existent landscape of high performance computing. Offering everyday supercomputing experience in a sophisticated design with sublime and elegant lines, it ensures towering performance, optimal airflow and limitless upgradeability.

Besides, by harnessing the power of the graphics processing unit, the Shift can speed up usual tasks like photo and video editing, transcoding videos for portable media devices, and upscaling standard definition video.

In addition, maximum storage is offered through six removable, user-serviceable internal drive bays. Each bay can hold either a 3.5-inch SATA drive, or two 2.5-inch SSD drives, for up to 12 HDDs, all cooled using the same vertical airflow design as the rest of the chassis. For ease of upgradeability, each drive cage mount features a built-in SATA power and data adapter. The Shift comes with enormous power, cooling, and space for meeting the needs of a gamer, a videographer, or just simple users who can’t let go of all their digital stuff.

In fact, users are enabled to talk directly to the builder that assembled their system and can take advantage of virtual on-site support through an internal remote-desktop setup with privacy guarantees if any issue arises.
