eMachines Launches Powerful EL1200 Desktop PC Range

eMachines has announced the launch of its new EL1200 desktop. Weighing just one-third the size of the conventional PC, the eMachines EL1200 is available in two models, namely eMachines EL1200-05w and eMachines EL 1210-01e.

“The extreme value of the eMachines EL 1200 is undeniable,” noted Glenn Jystad, senior manager, desktop products. “The ability to purchase a powerful, well-equipped PC for less than $300 is sure to be a welcome option for consumers tightening their budgets in today’s tough economic climate.”

Both the budget-friendly eMachines EL1200 desktop PCs are powered by 64-bit AMD Athlon 2650e processing and include 18x DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti Drive featuring Labelflash Technology, 14-in-1 digital media card reader, 7 USB 2.0 ports, a set of amplified stereo speakers and internet connection to check mail and access web pages.

The eMachines EL1200-05w comes with NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE integrated graphics, a 1 MB DDR2 memory, 160 GB SATA II (7200 RPM, 8MB cache) hard drive and an operating system that supports Microsoft Windows XP Home with SP3.

Whereas, the eMachines EL 1210-01e features NVIDIA GeForce 8200 integrated graphics, a 2 MB DDR2 memory with dual channel, 320 GB SATA II (7200 RPM, 8MB cache) hard drive, a HDMI port and a eSATA port as well as support for Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1 operating system.

The eMachines EL1200-05w and EL 1210-01e cost $298 (approx. Rs. 14,505) and $349 (approx. Rs. 16,987), respectively.
