Dell to launch PCs Running Linux and Windows Simultaneously

Recently we reported that Dell is preparing more desktops and notebook with Linux operating system. Now there is news that Dell is developing consumer PCs that can run multiple versions of Microsoft’s Windows and Linux software simultaneously.
Dell is expected to use a technology called Virtualization, which would help users to run multiple, software-generated computers on one machine at the same time.
However, Dell’s personal computer’s chief technology officer, Kevin Kettler refused to tell whether Dell’s new machine will support Apple’s OS X software.
Dell is developing consumer PCs that can run multiple versions of Microsoft Corp’s Windows and Linux software at the same time, Kettler told Reuters.
“I can’t speculate on that. Virtualization is very powerful. It’s an environment that would allow many different operating systems to co-exist. You can interpret that however you would like,” he said.
According to Reuters the Dell PCs having capabilities of running Linux and Windows simultaneously are expected to come in market by next year.
